APS 4 - Service Desk Analyst x 2

We are looking for a keen, energetic person, who is willing to learn, has an excellent eye for detail, and can assist in a variety of administrative tasks and functions within the Section. Ideally, the successful applicant will possess skills in one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Office suite and applications (specifically Word, Excel, Visio and Project)
- Familiarity with a Service Management tool, such as Service manager 7
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB) usage.
- Generally administrative functions, such as freight bookings, updating job notes and completion of Service management tasks.
- Customer liaison (both personally and via email/telephone etc.)
- Assistance with ICT Asset Management tasks, including acquisition, Management and disposal).
- The ability - and desire - to learn more complex ICT support-related tasks.
- A willingness to challenge past practice, and to help drive innovative new processes and procedures in our support of the department's ICT environment.
The Service Operation section has operational coverage between 7AM-10PM (AEDST) and the successful applicant may be required to join the current shift roster if need dictates.
Previous experience within a government agency in one or more of these functions is highly desirable, while a willingness and ability to learn quickly "on the job" would be well regarded.
